The WASFAA Spring Conference Planning Committee has been hard at work getting things ready for the first in-person WASFAA Conference in TWO YEARS! The conference is looking to be a great one, and the Professional Development Committee is jumping in to sweeten the event even further! Over the years, WASFAA has strived to provide training and networking opportunities to all members in their various roles. This year, the Professional Development Committee has worked hard to revamp and refresh the biennial Office Professionals Retreat opportunity. We would like to introduce THE 2022 NEW FINANCIAL AID PROFESSIONALS TRACK offered during the Spring 2022 WASFAA Conference in Wisconsin Dells.

WHAT? The New Financial Aid Professionals track is an ‘almost’ all expenses paid opportunity open to 15 new professionals in the our WASFAA community.

WHO? The ideal candidate will have less than 3 years financial aid experience and must be a WASFAA member

COST? The Professional Development Committee will cover the full cost of registration for the Spring 2022 conference, lodging for the duration of the conference, and one evening activity. The attendee will be responsible for meals not provided by conference registration – this should be limited to one Thursday night dinner.

WHEN? The New Professionals track will run alongside the Spring 2022 Conference. Attendees will join their colleagues for all general sessions, keynote speakers, and provided meals. Breakout sessions will be held together as a group in our own separate breakout room. A formal agenda will be provided in the coming weeks.

CONTENT? We are working on finalizing our agenda but will offer session related to getting involved in financial aid, using your resources, basic financial aid processing, enrollment services, diversity, collaboration, connection on campus, and communication.

Click here to register for the Spring 2022 Conference. Be sure to select "Full Conference - New Professionals Track" and register as normal. At the end, be sure to select the "Invoice me" option. This opportunity is first-come first-serve and is limited to the first 15 registrants, so act fast!
