Our conference theme honors why we do what we do and the students we serve.

• Keynote address from Brittany Meoska that will nurture your mind
• An Inside the Beltway Update from NASFAA's Justin Draeger
• Important updates from HEAB, Coalition on Student Debt, College Goal Wisconsin, MASFAA and an update from WASFAA's Advocacy & Legislative Initiatives Committee
• And an entire session dedicated to hot topics like FAFSA Simplification where we all share ideas and have valuable take aways to help us in the upcoming year

Giving Back  (Charitable Giving)

The Wisconsin Foster Closet, Menasha Community Clothes Closet, is the beneficiary of our charitable giving efforts during the 2024 WASFAA Annual Conference.

Donations to the silent auction are needed and greatly appreciated. If you have a gift basket or silent auction item to contribute please email Matt Lehmann directly. 

You can support the charity in a number of ways:

• Bid on the silent auction items. 
• Hope you ordered your limited edition t-shirt -- the proceeds from shirt sales are going to the Menasha Community Clothes Closet.  

• Buy additional BINGO cards during our white elephant bingo night. What is white elephant Bingo?  Search your closet, garage, junk drawer and Christmas party re-gifts and bring them to the conference to place on the “prize table” with a chance to win these treasured “prizes” from the deepest, darkest, and most forgotten about parts of your colleagues’ closet, attic or garage. Already cleaned out your treasure stash?? No worries, there will be plenty of “prizes” for everyone. Just come join the fun!

Conference registration to include:

Sign-Up to join WASFAA colleagues for coordinated small group dinners, led by your RA,  for a night on the town Thursday, April 11th . Note: registration for this meal is separate from the conference registration and the cost is not covered by WASFAA.

Packing List (What to wear, etc.) 

On Wednesday, April 10^th, we encourage you to sport logo wear or school colors from a college you attended, show your college spirit!

On Thursday, April 11th you may want to dress up if you are having a professional headshot taken. 

On Friday, April 12th wear your  WASFAA 2024 Conference T-Shirt, for the class of 2024 pic!

Business casual, school, or WASFAA logo wear is always acceptable!

Housing and Parking - Conference Location & Hotel 

Hilton Appleton Paper Valley | 333 W College Ave. Appleton WI

WASFAA is excited to return to the Hilton on College Ave, in the heart of downtown Appleton.

Reserve your room online or by calling 1.800.774.1500. When calling ask for the Hilton Appleton Paper Valley hotel under the WASFAA 2024 block. Be sure to indicate you are attending WASFAA 2024 to get our state room rates.

Tuesday – Thursday nightly rates are:     

Single Occupancy $98/night	Triple Occupancy $129/night
Double Occupancy $119/night	Quad Occupancy $139/night

Deadline to reserve rooms in the block is March 19, 2024.  Due to multiple events taking place at the hotel, there is a possibility that the hotel will fill up, we encourage you to make a reservation now to guarantee “campus” housing.

Note: Parking for the conference is in a City of Appleton owned parking structure. Cost is $10/day. Parking garage is located at 134 S Superior Street.
