Financial Aid Counselor The Financial Aid Counselor will participate in the day to day activities of the financial aid office (FAO) and assist the Director of Financial Aid with the administration of all aid programs. The Financial Aid Counselor will be familiar with all federal, state, and institutional aid programs and communicate related information to current and prospective students at all levels. Bachelor's degree required in Business or related area. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and have the desire and ability to learn new software. Some experience with a campus-wide student information system (SIS) is preferred. Basic knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs/regulations is preferred. Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to present financial aid information effectively to students, parents, and others. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in higher education, preferably in Financial Aid required.
This is a .5 (part-time) employment position.
