The Department of Financial Institutions, Office of Financial Capability is looking to hire a College Investment Program Finance Officer to join our team.
Position Summary
The College Investment Program Finance Officer is responsible for representing the Wisconsin 529 College Savings Program nationally and state-wide. This position communicates with the media and general public relative to the Program, which currently offers Edvest and Tomorrow’s Scholar. In conjunction with the Department's Financial Capability Officer and Program Managers, it is responsible for public outreach of the Program through community engagement events and presentations, public meetings, partnership development, news media, social media, and other channels.
This position assists with operations of the Wisconsin 529 College Savings Program, its assets, and its state and national accounts, pursuant to Wisconsin and federal law, and serves as staff to the Wisconsin College Savings Program Board, an eleven-member board appointed by the Governor that has program oversight responsibilities. This position works with other State Department of Financial Institutions staff to ensure Wisconsin and federal legal, financial, and disclosure requirements of the Program are met, and also works with Program Managers and advisors in the execution of investment and other related agreements. The Program Finance Officer works with the Program Managers in records and investment management, investor services, as well as assisting with duties of other College Investment Program Finance Officers, along with other operational duties.
