Join WASFAA’s Advocacy & Legislative Issues Committee and your colleagues from across Wisconsin for a powerful day of connection and action at the Wisconsin State Capitol. This Financial Aid Advocacy event is your opportunity to stand up for student access and affordability, share real stories from our campuses, and highlight the critical role financial aid plays in helping learners succeed. Expect an engaging day that includes networking with your colleagues, connecting with elected officials to talk about important issues, and strengthening WASFAA’s position as subject matter experts on important Financial Aid issues in the state of Wisconsin.
No prior advocacy experience is needed—just your passion for students and belief in access to education. WASFAA is covering the full cost of this event for members, including breakfast, lunch, and a hotel room at the Concourse Hotel for those needing to travel the day before.
We will pair newcomers with those that have experience, we will have a preparation event prior to the visit to provide some guidance and answer any questions you may have, and we will have prepared WASFAA talking points and documents available – so no major legwork on your end required! We will all be in this together, learn from one another, and make our presence felt from our visit!
WASFAA’s message is so much stronger with your voice – and we need you to join us to make our collective voice heard!
