  • New Member Welcome Session at the Spring 2015 WASFAA Conference

We invite all new members to attend the “New Member Gathering: Welcome to WASFAA” session from on Wednesday, April 8th held by the Membership Committee. During this session you will have the opportunity to learn more about WASFAA including the benefits of WASFAA membership and ways to become involved in the Association. By attending the session you will also be able to enter a drawing to win a prize!

  • Group Dinners at the Spring 2015 WASFAA Conference

On the evening of Wednesday, April 8th dinner will be on your own. However, the Conference and Membership committees are organizing group dinners that night to allow WASFAA members a chance to meet their WASFAA colleagues in a smaller group setting. We are setting up dinners at local restaurants with approximately twenty-five diners at each location. Each location will have a WASFAA member who will help facilitate introductions and conversations at dinner.

This is where you come in!!!  You may indicate on your conference registration if you would like to participate in this event. If you indicate yes you will be sent an email listing the restaurant choices and you will have the opportunity to indicate your top choice.

  • Leadership Tells: Style, Character, and Personality Matters to be Successful

Spring 2015 Conference Interest Session Co-Presented by the Membership and Professional Development Committees

The ability to be a good leader does not come easily; it takes a certain mindset, distinct habits, and specific skills to make an impact. Have you ever wondered what gives leaders the “it” factor in effectiveness?  In this session, the evaluation of leadership style, a person’s character, and their personality will be discussed to provide a wholistic perspective in knowing what to do, and what not to do, to be an aspiring successful leader.
