President's Welcome
We are excited to announce the development of our Strategic Plan for 2026-2030. The task force, currently in its early stages, will be laying the groundwork over the next few months. It's crucial to include voices from both the executive board and our membership. If you're interested in helping shape WASFAA's priorities for the next five years, please reach out. Our goal is to present a comprehensive plan at the spring conference in 2026. I have several goals for our membership. We need to explore and decide on institutional membership. The task force is already working on this, evaluating the pros and cons to benefit our association. Transparency is key; I am concerned about our current membership levels and participation. We need to grow both, but we must ensure WASFAA is worthy of your time and commitment. We will investigate ways to make our association more attractive, starting with a strong vision from the executive board. This fall, we will host a leadership workshop to encourage new leaders to step up. We also plan to introduce new opportunities to connect, including FSA watch parties. The spring conference will be shaped by your feedback, with details to follow soon. WASFAA needs your support and involvement. I understand the demands on your time, but I cannot achieve our goals alone. I am asking you to volunteer on committees or task forces. In June, please renew your membership and update your profile with the committees you're interested in. I will be reaching out for your feedback and ideas on WASFAA's future. If you have suggestions for improvement, join us and help make them a reality. Taking on this role is a significant responsibility, and I am committed to giving back to WASFAA for all the support it has given me. It's time for us to step up together.
