As part of the Enrollment Management division, this position is part of the Financial Aid team within Blugold Central.  Blugold Central focuses on meeting the needs of all UW-Eau Claire students through the delivery of billing/payment-management, registration, financial aid, continuing education, and parking/transportation services.  Blugold Central strives to maintain a student-centered professional environment that is welcoming to all students.

Financial Aid Counselors provide comprehensive financial aid and budgeting counseling to students, parents, high school counselors, and others; managing a file load of student cases and maintaining a student appointment load. Additionally, the Financial Aid Counselor is an expert in, manages, and monitors grant(s) and/or other loan/benefit program(s); reconciling awards for this/these programs. In all instances, the Financial Aid Counselor is dedicated to quality customer service and acts in alignment with the Blugold Central customer service standards; appreciating the relationship between reliable and accurate work done in a customer-service focused manner, and the University’s recruitment and retention efforts.
