    Job Details:

    The Financial Aid Office at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a Scholarship Coordinator. This is a full-time, 12-month basis appointment with competitive pay and excellent fringe benefits.

    Qualifications:

    Required

    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution in a business related field or two years' related professional experience
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills: the ability to actively listen, respond with empathy, and write various types of communication to students, parents, and/or campus stakeholders
    • Proficiency in the use of personal computer and current software applications including, but not limited to the Microsoft Office suite
    • Excellent customer-service skills

    Preferred

    • Three years of experience in higher education student services
    • Previous experience using Peoplesoft or a similar student information data management system
    • Previous experience using third-party scholarship software
    • Knowledge of and skills in automated processing

    Responsibilities:

    The Financial Aid Scholarship Coordinator is responsible for stewardship and management activities involving all scholarships. This individual serves as a liaison between multiple stakeholder groups: Financial Aid, the Foundation, the Academic Colleges, and several scholarship committees; and is responsible for continuous communication and collaboration between the offices regarding scholarships. The coordinator works with the Development Officers to steward existing and new scholarships that are created by donors. This position develops communications, prepares and presents scholarship reports, implements technology to support efficient scholarship processes, maintains records of all scholarships, and collaborates within the financial aid office and with campus stakeholders to assist in creating a forward-thinking student services experience.
