The Assistant Director of Federal Awards serves as deputy and principal advisor to the Associate Director of Federal Awards. Working independently to manage staff, the Assistant Director of Federal Awards will collaborate with the Associate Director to establish and oversee the strategic direction and operational objectives of the Federal Awards Unit. The Assistant Director of Federal Awards also serves an as expert resource person within the Office of Financial Aid and as a liaison to the campus community on various key administrative policies and practices.
The Assistant Director of Federal Awards is dedicated to developing initiatives and efficient procedures to aid in streamlining the application, awarding, disbursing, and reconciliation of Title IV funds. Under general direction, the Assistant Director of Federal Awards oversees the appropriate and compliant preparation, processing, and timely submission of federal financial aid programs for the University, including a portfolio of $200M in Direct Loan and $20M in Pell Grant Funds.
