Dear WASFAA Colleagues,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the new WASFAA website! At the President’s Retreat in June, one of the goals the Executive Board and Committee co-chairs established was an overhaul of our website, including moving to a new platform. Led by the Innovations Committee, under the leadership of Ryan Gebler and Mandy Slowinski, this goal has been accomplished. I hope you will take some time to explore the new site and all of the features it includes. You will find important resources that you are already familiar with, but also new and exciting tools that we feel will add value to your WASFAA membership.
Speaking of membership—if you haven’t submitted your 2016-17 membership application, don’t delay. You will need to be a member to enjoy some sections of the website. Also, if you haven’t volunteered to be on a committee yet, there is still time to do so. You can indicate your preference in an email to Angela Sarni, WASFAA Database Manager, at email@example.com, or feel free to contact committee chairs directly from their webpages. While WASFAA benefits from having such a great volunteer base, I know you will also benefit both personally and professionally by developing strong connections with colleagues and creating many lifelong friendships.
It is my honor to serve as your WASFAA president. Thank you for your support—and a very special thank you to my co-workers and family for supporting me and this opportunity. I look forward to working with the 2016-17 executive board and committee chairs as we continue to fulfill the mission and goals of this great association. I welcome your suggestions, questions, or concerns and please feel free to contact me or any member of the board about how WASFAA can better serve you.
WASFAA President 2016-17
