Location: After careful consideration of locations around the state the Osthoff Resort was chosen as the location for the Fall 2013 WASFAA Conference. It is on the eastern side of the state which may mean additional travel for those from the western side of the state. The Osthoff was very accommodating in the arrangements and the fees they charge allowing additional funds in the budget for conference speakers and educational programing. It is a beautiful location with 500 feet of lakefront access to Elkhart Lake. The resort features a spa, multiple swimming pools and several dining options.

Co-Chairs: I am pleased to announce Sandi Nowakowski and Julie Waldvogel-Leitner will be co-chairing the Fall 2013 conference.

Sandi Nowakowski is the Loan Manager of the Federal Direct & Private Loan programs at University of Wisconsin – Madison. She has been in Financial Aid for 7 years and hails from the Financial Aid Office at University of Baltimore, MD. She is currently the Co-Chair for WASFAA Loan Concerns Committee, a member of the WASFAA Innovations Committee and a WASFAA Blog Editor.

Julie Waldvogel-Leitner is the Financial Aid Associate at Moraine Park Technical College. She has been in financial aid for a number of years, starting as a work study student at Ripon College.  She is currently a member of the Pre Collegiate School Relations Committee and the Federal Issues Committee.  Julie is a graduate of the 2009 WASFAA Leadership Retreat.
